Befriending Service

The Paul Popham Fund Befriending Service serves a dual purpose, as we recruit and then train current Kidney Patients to Befriend new kidney patients.

This new service will aims to give new renal patients much needed support as well as offering them a shoulder to lean on as they come to terms with their diagnosis and the impact on their life.

We would like kidney patients who want to help others to call us and train to be a Befriender.

We would like kidney patients who need advice and support to call us so we can sign post to a Befriender who can help them.

If you fall into one of these categories, then we’d love to hear from you so please contact us.

Here is a video explaining more about the service.

To gain support from a Befriender or general support and advice please call us on 0800 038 8989 or email us at, your call or email will be handled by a trained Befriender, and will be dealt with confidentially.
