Those of you that have been shielding for the past couple of months may already be aware that continued self-isolation is soon to be deemed no longer necessary by the Welsh Government.
Letters from the Chief Medical Officer for Wales (CMO) are currently being issued, and you should receive them in the next week. This letter confirms the announcement by the CMO on 15th July, that individuals who have been shielding no longer need to do so from 16th August. The letter also provides details of the support that will continue to be available to this group.
It’s perfectly understandable that many people in this group (and their families) will have questions and concerns, even anxieties, relating to them returning to the wider world after such a long period of shielding.
Here at the Paul Popham Fund, we want you to know that we are here to help in any way we can, so please get in touch with our careline (0800 038 8989) should you wish to discuss the Chief Medical Officer’s letter, gain clarity on what this means for you, advice about how to proceed, or just want to talk through your concerns.
Please see the links below to the Written Statement that has been published by the CMO, alongside a copy of the most recent letter from the Chief Medical Officer for Wales that will be sent to those who have been shielding in the next week.
