Learn 2 Run 4 Life

Our charity have set this club up to encourage more people to run. Having organised groups of runners to take part in the Swansea and Cardiff Half Marathons over the last 5 years we have supported non-runners to take part in the races helping them to learn to run whilst raising money for us.

We now wants to put this experience and knowledge into good use and to encourage non-runners in the community of Swansea to put on a pair of trainers to enjoy the benefits running can give them.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Paul Popham Running Club aims to help non-runners to Learn 2 Run 4 Life. Whether you have never run at all, are a returner to running with no fitness level or lack a little confidence to get back into your running we can help!

THE PROGRAM:

We have created our first 8 week program to encourage non-runners to run their first 5k Run. The first week will be to introduce you to the program, discover individual goals and create an individual activity tracker. The next 6 weeks will be teaching you to learn to run. The last week – week 8 you will take part in a 5k Swansea Bay parkrun!

We also have programmes for runners who want to take the next step and train for a 10k or even a half marathon! We’ve even got a kids programme too – so you can make it fun for all the family.
