Are you ready to take on a challenge?
Are you a new runner looking for your first challenge?
Are you someone who has been affected by renal disease and wants to do something positive?
If you answered yes to one of these questions, then our running club cold be just what you’re looking for. We’d love you to train with us, race with us and help to raise money for us.
We enter a number of key races throughout the year, including the Swansea Half Marathon and the Llanelli Half Marathon. We also run our own Swansea Bay Summer 5k series of runs.
Each runner has an individual goal, ranging from completing their first half marathon to achieving a personal best. As a team, we all share the joint goal of raising awareness and money for the Paul Popham Fund and supporting each other to achieve our personal goals.
We do this by offering advice and information on training plans, nutrition and fundraising by email and/or at group meetings. We also arrange group training for those who are keen to run with others and motivate each other.
We typically finish each race with a celebratory lunch where we celebrate everyone’s personal achievements and thank all runners for raising money and awareness for the charity. We recognise the fastest male and female in our team and all receive a certificate of recognition.
If you sign up to run with us you’ll receive training advice, support with your fundraising and the fun of competing in a race as part of a team.

Our Running History
Nick and David Martin Jewel introduced and organised Swansea’s very first half marathon in 2014 with the support of JCP Solicitors. As we are a Swansea-based charity we decided to change our 10-mile race date to coincide with Swansea Half Marathon from 2015 onwards.
