Design a Christmas Card Competition Winners announced for 2021
Firstly, Paul Popham Fund, Renal Support Wales would like to thank each and every one of you that entered our Design a Christmas Card Competition this year. Secondly, the Charity were overwhelmed by the number of entries and this year was no exception, the judging panel found this an extremely tough decision to pick a clear winner. There was much deliberation and the panel decided to have four winning Christmas Card Designs because the standard this year was extremely high. All money raised from the sales of the Christmas Cards will go towards the refurbishment of the Children’s Kidney Centre and take us one step closer to our target.
We are thrilled to announce our four winners of our Design a Christmas Card Competition:
- Poppy- Rae Farrant
- Grace Birt
- Riley Windle
- Megan Sidford
Here is some more information about our four deserving winners:
Our youngest winner Poppy- Rae, 7 years of age was so excited to hear the news that she had been picked as one of the winners of the competition. She has a real passion for Art and she is definitely one to look out for as an artist of the future.
Grace is a Swansea Lifelong Learning Student who has been getting creative through lockdown. Although, Grace was extremely pleased that she had produced one of the four winning Christmas Card designs, it was made more special knowing that the money raised will be going to a good cause. When the charity shared the good news with Swansea Lifelong Learning they commented that Grace was a very talented artist and calligrapher and she has completed several Art courses during lockdown.
We also had two Year 7 winners from Gowerton Comprehensive School Riley and Megan who will appear on the front of our Charity Christmas Card.
Riley and Megan's Head of Year commented:
“Well done to all the winners of the Christmas Card competition. Gowerton School is delighted that Riley and Megan’s artistic efforts were rewarded. The school welcomes the opportunity to support valuable charity work such as Paul Popham Fund”.
Anna Powell, Volunteer Coordinator for the Charity, said :
